SVEN WALTER LOGISTIK EMBRACES #ONETRUCKFAMILY CAMPAIGN

Sven Walter Logistik, a company that has long been involved in the FIA European Truck Racing Championship as a sponsor to several teams, has pledged its support to the new #onetruckfamily campaign.

Sven Walter is a well-known name within the FIA ETRC fraternity. The German has been involved in the sport for a number of years as a sponsor of the championship’s leading outfit, Team Hahn Racing, and, since the beginning of 2018 via his own squad [Don't Touch Racing], fields an IVECO truck for Andre Kursim.

“I think it's the right way to bring together truck racing and the trucking spirit in order to create a closer connection between the racing and the professionals and their trucks on the road,” said Walter.


“I think after six months you should be able to see the first results of this campaign because that's when it's going to spread across social media and reach the people.”

The Berlin-based Sven Walter Logistik company has already been active on bridging the gap between the sport and the truck/transportation industry as a whole.

Through their involvement with the FIA ETRC, the company will be involved in promotional events centred around the #onetruckfamily initiative and will welcome some ‘truck heroes’ from the industry to races in 2019.

“It's something I've already been trying to do through my company for a long time,” explained Walter.

“Based on my experiences from the past, you’ll soon be able to see the first improvements in the subject of making this connection closer."

#onetruckfamily is a major industry-supporting campaign launched by the European Truck Racing Association [ETRA] in March.

Its main objective is to counter the driver shortage crisis and to value all professionals in the trucking industry in order to attract future drivers throughout Europe.

Commenting on Walter’s commitment for 2019, ETRA director Georg Fuchs said: “We are very delighted to have with SWL our first logistic company as an official Sponsor to the championship. Sven is one of the true pioneers of harnessing new talent and encouraging future prospects from a vocational point of view in the industry.
