Making its world premiere at the Brussels Motor Show today and in UK showrooms in February, the new Corsavan features a bright new exterior, high-class interior and an improved chassis.

On sale now, the new Corsavan replaces its award-winning predecessor with a model that features class-leading payload, up by 21kg versus the outgoing model to 571kg, and a flat loading capacity of 920 litres. But at just 4.02 metres long and 1.94 metres wide, it’s compact enough to fit in to tight parking spaces and negotiate the narrowest of city streets.

All-new Corsavan is also equipped with an impressive array of Euro-6 compliant petrol and diesel engines, offering economy up to 83.1mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 90g/km. There’s also advanced new IntelliLink infotainment smartphone connectivity, as well as more comfort and convenience features than ever before.

The benefits to Corsavan customers don't end there. Driver ergonomics have been vastly improved, with new seats that provide increased support, durability and extended travel – a boon for operators covering long distances or for companies using the van as a pool vehicle. In addition, ambient lighting and reduced levels of noise, harshness and vibration further improve the workday experience, whatever the line of business.

The new model benefits from a plethora of new options, making it one of the best equipped car-derived vans on the market. New extras include electronic climate control, Winter Pack with heated seats and heated steering wheel, IntelliLink with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system incorporating Bluetooth and DAB, 16-inch black alloy wheels and rear parking sensors.

There’s also Technical Pack which includes forward collision alert, lane departure warning, rear camera, traffic sign recognition and following distance indicator.

Making new Corsavan even more affordable is Vauxhall’s offer of four years’ zero per cent APR representative finance, four years’ free servicing, four years’ roadside assistance and four years’ warranty. Service intervals are best-in-class at one year/20,000 miles.

“Vauxhall’s all-new Corsavan is stylish, comfortable and affordable to run,” said Steve Bryant, Vauxhall’s Head of Commercial Vehicles. “Like its award-winning predecessor, it will hold massive appeal to van drivers, small businesses, fleet decision-makers and company drivers alike.”

The Corsavan will make it UK debut at the CV Show in at Birmingham’s NEC (14th – 16th April 2015).

Yorkshire-based gas, heating and electrical engineering company, JD Mounsey, has made its fourth consecutive Vauxhall order, replacing its current fleet with eight new Vivaro vans.

Established in 1994 and taking delivery of its first Vauxhalls not long after, the order is the fourth that the company has made through Pentagon Vauxhall in Nottingham.

The company founder, Jonathan Mounsey, said: “In my experience, nothing has the combination of reliability, fuel economy and space as the Vivaro, and the service I receive from Pentagon Vauxhall is second to none. The attention to detail has been superb, from fitting out the vans to organising the signwriting.”

JD Mounsey, which carries out all manner of electrical, plumbing, heating and security work, has taken delivery of five short-wheelbase and two long-wheelbase panel vans, as well as one short-wheelbase double cab crew van. The vans include a load length extension under the passenger seat to accommodate longer items, and have been specified with air conditioning and Bluetooth.

All the vans are Sportive specification and are powered by the 1.6 CDTI (120PS) BiTurbo ecoFLEX engine, with a manual transmission and Start/Stop technology. The vans can achieve 47.9mpg on the combined cycle and feature CO2 emissions of just 155g/km.

Pentagon Vauxhall Nottingham is an established Vauxhall Business and Van Centre, with its staff having a combined total of more than 50 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle sector.

Jonathan said: “With more than 20 years of experience in the trade, we are able to undertake all manner of work, regardless of the size or complexity, in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. We need vans that we can rely on, and with the Vivaro we know there is no downtime.”

JD Mounsey is a fully-approved NIC EIC contractor, is GasSafe and OFTEC registered, and is a Vaillant Advance and Worcester Bosch Gold Accredited installer. The company has helped thousands of local homes and businesses in the North Yorkshire & North West regions.

Richard Collier, Vauxhall’s National Commercial Vehicle and B2B Manager, said: “Small businesses are the backbone of the British economy and it is fantastic to have supplied JD Mounsey with its fourth batch of British-built vans.”

Vauxhall showcases a Luton-built Vivaro Surf Concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

This lifestyle version of the Vivaro is ideal for sporting activities and can accommodate five to six passengers (depending on the seating configuration) along with sport and fitness equipment.

Roomy and spacious, this doublecab van offers a separate cargo area of 3.2m3 – or 4.0m3 for the long wheelbase version. The Vivaro Surf Concept is ideal for transporting wet or dirty items after a trip to the beach or to the mountains in the large cargo area.

The Vivaro Surf Concept is a real eye-catcher with its shiny copper-brown paintwork. Customised Irmscher alloys complete the look.

The lifestyle van shows its full functionality once the doors and tailgate are opened – either manually or via Keyless Open. A cargo area with a total permissible weight of up to one tonne is extremely practical with plenty of room for skiing or snowboard equipment, surfboards or bikes. The floor of the cargo area is fitted with a newly-developed rail system; the entire width under the second row of seats is used for a storage box that can hold small items. The interior, fitted by the specialists from Snoeks Automotive, features blue lighting in the sidewalls and the roof liner.

On the roof, the Surf Concept has a special surfboard bracket so that longboard fans don’t have to go on holiday without their beloved board.

Powertrain

Powered by a 1.6-litre CDTi (140PS) BiTurbo, it mobilises 340Nm of torque and propels the Vivaro Surf Concept to a top speed of 112mph. The ecoFLEX version with Start/Stop achieves 46.31mpg, which is equivalent to 160g/km (preliminary values).

The idea of providing additional comfort also features in the suspensions system. The air suspension at the rear axle compensates for all sorts of bumps in the road giving passengers a comfortable ride, shortened springs also reduce the vehicles height by around 7cm to 1.80m.

“The Vivaro Surf Concept is the ideal vehicle for large families or groups of friends,” said Steffen Raschig, Vauxhall/Opel Director Commercial Vehicles. “The close-to-production concept offers space for up to six passengers with its crew cab. There is a large cargo area with numerous practical details behind the second row of seats. The sporty styling on the outside and numerous comfort features along with the ultra-modern IntelliLink system on the inside make it an elegant roomy van. The Vivaro Surf Concept is the perfect alternative for people who need more than a passenger car but do not want to miss out on the usual comfort.”

The spacious and comfortable Vivaro Surf Concept will be on show at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt and could soon go into production as a “Limited Edition”.

Vauxhall has supplied six Movanos to Essex-based Magnolia Building Services, a mechanical and electrical contractor for the transport sector.

The Hockley firm took delivery of its first four black Movano L2H2 commercial vehicles from Vauxhall Commercial Vehicle retailer Tony Levoi Lakeside earlier this year.

Having since experienced a boost in business, the company recently added a further two; a Movano L3H2 and a Movano Crew Cab Tipper.

The business, which works with London Underground and other rail companies, is already enjoying the benefits of massively lower running costs, thanks to the improved fuel economy and reduced maintenance needs of the Movano.

Clint Spearpoint CEO of Magnolia explained: “For the first eight years of our business, we ran a fleet of various ageing vans, which we have spent a lot of time and money running and maintaining. Now we have switched to Vauxhall, we now no longer experience the associated problems of mechanical down time that we used to when our old vans were off the road for repairs!”

He continued: “In addition to this we have also ordered our first company cars, two Astra Sports Tourer ecoFLEX diesels, which have been superb in cutting costs throughout our transport needs.”

Simon Dayes, Sales Director at Tony Levoi, said: “We are delighted that Magnolia has taken on a fleet of Vauxhall commercial vehicles; we always knew the Movano was impressive, and having heard just how successful their business has become, is testament to the model’s performance and practicality. We are confident the Movano vans will serve the company long into the future.”

Richard Collier, Vauxhall’s National Commercial Vehicle and B2B Manager, added: “We are enjoying great success with the Movano, and Magnolia’s experience of lower running costs, is one we see regularly. It is testament to the model that we can cater for the needs of businesses such as Magnolia.”
